Okayyy, BACK, another YEAR later haha. I don't know why I decide to come back on here after a whole year, but here I am. Quarantine life is no different than my everyday life. I'm still at home with a baby girl since she's been born and I'm so grateful that I've been able to stay home this long with her and soak in all her little milestones. Other than momin' it up from sun up to sun down, these days are spent rearranging our place, painting, maintaining the new plants, watching some Netflix and Hulu, and just recently diving into the Montessori way of life with my daughter Jael. Woo this quarantine has given me a lot to fill my time with. Limited places to go, means more time at home to read and explore new things and also gives lots of time for gratitude. For those who stumble across this post, I hope that you are doing well, mentally and spiritually and that in this time you are finding time to sit and give thanks for living, WiFi, FaceTime calls and the ability to work (from home, if you're lucky).
If you can't be thankful for the latter, remain hopeful. In these times, people, strangers or not, are willing to help out more than you may assume. There is always help available. If you're in need of assistance in anyway, ask. The power of social media and sharing information is grand. I've seen links to Go Fund Me pages, Venmos, and Cash Apps being shared through social media that have linked to users from across the globe. Trust in the faith and goodness of humanity- it exists.
It's important to remain hopeful for the future. You don't need me to reiterate what you've probably seen all over the internet, "This is all temporary" and as in any situation, we will all adjust. Lower your standards, change attitudes and expectations. This is the perfect time to reassess many parts of our lives, whether it be deliberately or unintentionally. Who's to say what rest of the year will look like? You can spend your time worrying and scared for your day to day outcome and at the end of it all emerge defeated or instead rejoice in having learned to appreciate life in new ways and having grown immensely despite all the uncertainty.
